The Bonzer Mat has been designed as a double sided race track. On one side is the fixed format competition track, and on the other is the free format Dark Side. As the barriers can be secured in almost any position on the mat the potential track designs are almost limitless. Hey, and if you want bigger tracks, then simply join 2 or more mats together
Bonzer Gear have put months of experimentation into developing this particular track design. When designing layouts it is important to get the right balance of technical difficulty and playability - make it too difficult and and you wont be able to drive round it, make it too simple and there is no skill involved. The competition track has been carefully designed to provide a challenging and exciting race circuit. This track is intended to be challenging, and is the benchmark of your driving and car tuning ability.
What is in the box?
Everything you need to build the competition track and a large number alternative tracks on the Dark side. You also get a strong and light carry bag for ease of storage and transportation . Cars can be bought seperately from a number of places.

Car Tuning
Tuning your car for this track is essential. Your car setup should match your ability.
For novices use your slowest motor and general gearing. As you improve your cornering and hand eye coordination, gradually increase your motor speeds. More advanced drivers can experiment with drift tires, gear settings and suspension to keep shaving off that last 100th of a second
.
With the purchase of an additional digital lap timer/counter you can compete against the clock. If you think your good, why not check out the league table of best times achieved.
Here you really can be creative!.
The Mat is printed with a grid reference system to allow you design tracks on paper and then transfer to the mat using grid references. As well as being fun it enhances the spatial awareness of the player.
Preprinted Designs
On the edge of the Dark Side are printed some example tracks (10 in total spelling BONZER GEAR) 
Use the Dark Side to gradually increase your skills. It is also great for fast races against multiple opponents.
Play Games
You can also invent your own games on this side. Create mazes to challenge maneuvering skills, Build a “pitch” with goals at each end and challenge your opponent to a game of Bonzer Ball (you supply the ball – either a ping pong ball or glass marble).
Is there anything else like it?
Not that we are aware of. You can buy hard plastic corner pieces to build a track on a flat surface or clip together tracks like hotwheels. There just is nothing like Bonzer out there!. When explaining to people what Bonzer Racing is all about, we usually start with the closest similar product - Slot Car or Scalectrix. By comparing the Bonzer Mat to a slot car system, people soon see the beauty of the Bonzer Mat
